Malaysian House Affordability

The estimates made from the HIS indicates that 75.9% Malaysians cannot afford houses above RM250,000. This is the case according to the property market report where 78-85% properties transacted is below RM250,000.
How do we ensure the price of properties is stabilized and more affordable houses is offered to the public?

RESIDENTIAL TRANSACTION by PRICE (2006-2010)

85% of residential sale transacted in 2006 is below RM250,000
78% of residential sale transacted in 2010 is below RM250,000

This is consistent with our previous findings on the house affordability where we claim that 75.9% Malaysian Households CANNOT afford HOUSES above RM250,000 !
